Since someone in this thread apparently successfully installed a dd-wrt for an Asus RT-AC56U on a Linksys EA6300, I decided to give it a go. And to my big I have bought the Linksys WRT1900ASC and have decided to install OpenWRT on it instead of DD-WRT because the former is apparently more stable and has more regular updates. We will enable USB support in our newly installed Linksys WRT1900ACS v2 with DDWRT. This way we will get more space available and we will be able to install entware-ng later on. Linksys EA6100 is a well-known and one of the cheaper options.
